Another Stage, Another Phase

Why is it when you seem to think you have everything going the way you want it, you suddenly start thinking about what the hell you are doing with your life?

I am a giant flounder, floundering. Trying to figure out where to go to next. Call it a mid-life crisis, call it my Bubba-Love turning 2 next week, but I'm starting to feel at a loss.

Who am I really? What is it I really want or need to be doing in this life?

I know what makes me happy and what motivates me. It's just finding a way to use those things to feel as if I contribute to this world.

Any suggestions from the peanut gallery?

sadly this peanut has been in that phase for ages and no Bubba Love to show for it.

Knowing what makes you happy is a big deal. You are doing great with contributing to this world. Somebody told me we need to create a network of positive people and positive energies to make the world a better place.
You are part of my positive network :D

Karen, I think you need to stop analyzing every day of your life, and just live it. Bubba Love may be two, but before you know it he will be 5, then 12 and then gone. The most important thing we can do well in this life is raise our children. Parenting is no easy job, as I know you know. You are happy, blessed with three healthy children and Hubster (yes, he is a blessing!) and living a life others can't even imagine. Embrace it, share it and do your best at it.

I have it hanging on my wall...To Laugh often & much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden path, a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

Wow, what can I say? Listen to your friends, sisters and husband. . . You must be doing something right to get such good thoughts.

I agree with Diane, just LIVE!!! It was not that long ago that we were sitting in a bar telling dirty jokes to win free skis!

Sing like no one is listening,
(I've heard you!)
Dance like no one is watching,
(I've also seen this!)
And LIVE every day as if it were your last!!! Just be Dig!!! xoxoxox

Thank you all for the comments. I really do appreciate them. It's a changing time in my life, but it is for the good.

And yes, I will say YES and just live.

Merci!
